Investing in the World

Rice is the staple of the world. In a population of 7 billion, over 3.6 billion RELY on rice as the main staple of their diet. This number is just those that have rice as a daily basis for all their meals, not considering those who also use rice as a secondary staple within their diet. The yearly demand for rice is 437 million tonnes, however the world can currently only grow 381 million tonnes per year.

There are various reasons as to why there is such a shortfall in crop production. This 56 million tonne shortfall has been attributed to population growth, economic downturn, mass urbanisation, climate change and natural disasters.

But reasons aside, the fact is that the world needs more rice. Agri Capital is an Alternative Investment project which is helping to address this deficit in production of rice. The project has been successfully helping to address the world's rice shortage for a number of years now. One of Britain's leading geologists Robert McKendrick has been working with local communities to create the perfect conditions for maximum rice yields. Working in a monsoon environment with a rainforest climate and addressing acidity levels in the soil using seashells, the land set aside in Sierra Leone is farmable 365 days a year and is going to be able to produce 9000 tonnes of rice per year, making it the biggest commercial rice harvest in West Africa.

This commercial rice harvest in West Africa is one of the most attractive alternative investments available on the market. Investors buy the title to land that can be farmed in Sierra Leone. Local farmers then tend to your field and profits are paid out per harvest. With projected returns of 15 % per harvest but the last return gaining 16.2% this is a very profitable market to be involved in.

This rice farming project has been approved by the World Food Organisation who are currently trying to distribute rice farmed evenly so as to ensure that it is not just the rich who are fed. With this Alternative Investment Project you can gain not only great profits but you also know that your money is going toward helping global hunger. Furthermore this project with Agri Capital works hard to benefit the community in which it is based. Agri Capital intend to have the harvest going to the local market, this ensures that the community benefits from the work Agri Capital does. In addition to the rice and employment that Agri Capital creates they have also committed to help with local education and health through direct investment. They also put aside 60 metric tonnes per year to be given without charge to the local community.
Agri Capital have actually been so welcomed into the community that they have been recognised by the Sierra Leone Government and thanked for their investment approach as it helps to generate local income as well as putting in place the supporting infrastructure to assist with the development of local areas.

Due to the global shortage of rice and the fact that farmers cannot meet the demand needed, rice as a commodity is extremely valuable. It is in very high demand, a demand which is only increasing as the population is increasing, and it is in very low supply.
